Writing Goals

We love to write... Can you help?

To become really good at writing, it is important that we set goals for ourselves to achieve. This is an example of some of the things we will be learning about in class. This sheet will also be glued into our writing books. Please feel free to practise these things at home also. Kia kaha everyone!

Whakatauki Focus Term 1

Each term, our school have a Whakatauki focus. A whakatauki is likened to a 'saying or proverb' that usually incorporates a message or deeper meaning. This term, being the beginning of our 2015 journey, we thought this would be a good one to encourage confidence, perseverance and just making a good start! Please learn and share this with your child/ren and whānau. Kia kaha tātou katoa!

Welcome to Room 8's Blog Space

Nau Mai Haere Mai - Welcome!

Kia Ora and welcome friends and whānau. This is our very own blog space for 2015. Here, we will keep you updated with our learning, our achievements, and upcoming events for our team/school this year. We are very excited to meet you all and work in partnership with you to ensure we are meeting the needs and learning goals of each child. This year, Room 8 are very lucky to have not one, but two very motivated kaiako (teachers). We have the lovely Whaea Sheena who is very experienced in this level and myself, Whaea Callie. Together, we have a vision to excel our students in fun and engaging learning experiences, enhance student achievement, and of course offer a vibrant learning environment that caters for all of our precious tamariki. If you have any questions or concerns throughout the year, feel free to pop in and visit us in our class, otherwise our email details can be found below. Watch this space!
