Room 8's Awesome Assembly

Our class hosted the whole school assembly in week 2. We had great speakers, lovely Pepeha actions, and beautiful tipare that the children made to wear. We taught the WHOLE SCHOOL our actions that help us to remember our school pepeha. These are some photos we took after our assembly. 

Reading Challenge Awards 2016

Congratulations to all the tamariki that completed their Holiday Reading Challenge for Term 1. We were so proud of you all. A huge mihi to Mrs Donlon for coming to celebrate with us! I know she was very happy to be with Amazing Room 8. We hope you all enjoyed your hotdog treat!

Road Safety!

Room 8 attended the Ruru Road Safety show on Thursday afternoon this week. There were some great safety messages for us to remember. You might like to discuss these at home with your child/children to see what they know and can recall from the show. The safety messages included were; ball safety around roads and traffic, wearing a helmet, seat belts, staying in booster seats until the child is 148cm and crossing roads safely. The children had a lot of fun whilst learning about these important aspects of road safety.
