Today, we went had our first swim safe lesson at the Rotorua Aquatic Centre. Room 8 were so fantastic! We learnt all about water safety and what to do if we, or any of our family get into trouble in the water. We know, and understand the universal signal for 'help', and we can use floating objects to help offer assistance. We discussed hypothermia and what we can do if this happens - you will see some of our 'huddling' pics below! Whaea Callie and Whaea Sheena were so impressed with the way all of our tamariki listened, and followed instructions. We are especially grateful to all of our adults for helping and supporting us in and out of the water today. We will be sure to upload more pics tomorrow.
